"Getting ready" music

Due to all my drawing time being taken up by homework, I think I'll post some more random thoughts slash musings here to aid the dying regularity of posts.

Here's one:

For months now I've been trying to figure out what music is best to listen to when you're getting ready to go out. You know what I mean: that tune that makes you pull your pant legs up in time with the beat; the song that makes you play air guitar while you spray on some Rexona; the lyrics that make you wail at the top of your lungs until your dog starts barking and your mum threatens to kick you out of the basement.

Today, I found that music.

Tom Jones generally isn't good for much else besides humorous cameos in Tim Burton films about Martians invading Earth, be he sure makes a good "getting ready to go out" song. I highly recommend anything prior to his "Sex Bomb" period, especially "She's A Lady" and ESPECIALLY "Help Yourself".

So the next time you're slapping on some Brut 33, or pulling up those sexy fishnets (you fox) spin up some Sir Thomas Jones Woodward on the old iTunes and bop along to your heart's content.

Just help yourself to my lips,

Here's an example of some brainstorming notes for a video project I'm working on for uni at the moment. (Click the image for a larger version.)

Incoherent though it may seem, this is the best way for me to get down what's running through my head. I might not even look at the notes again after I've written them, but ideas seem more cemented once they exist somewhere else besides my brain.

There's an artist who actually exhibits only his notes. He's a bit of a wanker.

I'm listening to "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath. Whaddan awesome song.

Some important news...

Hi everyone. This has been a long time coming. I'm writing this blog post from an internet cafe in Dubai.

I've decided to give up drawing. It just doesn't do anything for me anymore. After spending some time meditating at the platypusary, I came to the decision that I would become a world-wanderer, that is, walk the land and spread my wisdom in the form of small origami fortune cookies. It's going well so far, although people aren't really taking to the whole "me walking around nude from the waist down" thing. I tried to explain that it's just what the fertility gods' commanded, but they still arrested me. I managed to escape the prison with some help from my fourth wife, Libby Lenton. She's a darling. Now I'm going to meet up with a ninja friend of mine who's going to direct me to the nearest Subway. Apparently they have this new apple pie flavoured sauce.

So anyway, I'd better go, because I'm paying for my time here with money I stole from a small Albanian fishmonger.

April fools. Although you probably figured that out already.
